Thought I'll ask anyone here for some ideas. Im at a lost.
Got a HTPC that I built which includes Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-HD3 and a AMD APU A6 6400k. Since being built back in January its been fine till a few weeks back its been randomly reboot. It switches on and reboots itself, works for 5 mins and then reboots. They are completely random reboots.
So I've started pulling parts off it to see what could the cause. I've taken the ATI HD 5660 graphics card off, switched to another PSU, rebuilt it and used another hard drive and rebuilt it and still random reboots. I've swapped the memory modules around and has not made any difference.
After more testing its down to the CPU or motherboard. I've updated the bios and no luck there. I've done some stress test and ran HeavyLoad for about 30 mins and it strangely stays stable. It goes up to 75-80 degrees but its still stable. I've tried running Prime95 and it crashes after 3 seconds. When I load up an application like a movie or youtube, it crashes.
I've tried to reserting the CPU, put more compound and no change.
Any ideas what else I can do?
