HTPC Remote control advice

I have recently setup a HTPC running WinXp and WinXp64. I'd like to control it using a remote control that works for Theatertek and can do stuff like turn it off etc.

I already have a HArmony 525 remote so whatever I add to the PC i'd like to be able to control it via the harmony as well so I may simply need an IR reciever.

It would have to sit on top of my PC however as my HTPC is in a coolermaster case with a door so can't go in the a 3.5 or 5.25" bay.

I have no plans to use my HTPC for TV recording at the moment as I have sky+ which is why I haven't simply installed MCE and chosen to use the MS remote. But if I do go down that route ie having a third OS with MCE I'd like to use the IR reciever to work with my harmony or my advanced xbox 360 remote(which I believe functions as a full mce remote anyways)

Ok that's all a bit complicated and there seems to be ooddles of different remotes for PC's out there so i'm confused by choice really.

Can anybody make a good suggestion at what I should be looking at.

Thanks in advance.

Irman receiver from Evation.com for a receiver, and Girder for the software.

The Irman and Girder combination can do absolutely anything that you can do with a keyboard and mouse. The learning curve is a bit steep (for the software), but it's extremely flexible. Loads of plugins available for different media apps.
