Hi,

I have an Acer nVidia ION box that I'm having a little issue with. Basically when it wakes from sleep, the resolution/screen size is incorrect.

I've got 2 theories what might be causing this, but no idea on how to resolve either

1. The nVidia settings have been configured so that the picture fills the screen when connected to the telly. This results in the resolution being set to 1846*1062 or thereabouts. I'm wondering if the 'strange' resolution could be causing issues?

2. The PC goes through an AV receiver (HDMI) to get to the telly, I am thinking it's possible there is a delay in switching modes and turning the PC on, which is why the resolution isn't being detected and set correctly?

Has anyone got any thoughts on how to resolve the issue?

I'd start with using the latest drivers. Try doing it without the AV receiver. What AV receiver do you have?

Tried googling the issue?
nvidia 'receiver name' hdmi problems

I've been googling it, and it seems to be a common issue when using an AV Receiver via HDMI. I've got a few things to try but nothing seems definitive at the moment.

It seems to be related to the EDID profile for the montior as seen by windows.
