HTPC Setups (Software)

Hi All,

I've just formatted and lost a link to a website i had something like PRoject HTPC which gave a good setup with KMPlayer / CoreAVC and the settings to use to get good playblack with .mkv's 1080p etc..

Any one know any good guides or want to share there software setups for this kind of play back?

I suggest you try MediaPortal, its rather good.

Then install either the VLC Player plugin, or if you prefer, the relevant codecs: ffdshow, quicktime alternative, real alternative (+ codecs for .mkv).

i use VLC but it seems to struggle wuth 1080p files... ive got all the codecs needed installed
