HTPC/SFF build price estimate?

I am currently contemplating building a cheapish PC system to act as a platform from which to stream HD (1080p in most cases) content to a PS3 over a wired 100Mbps network.

Just wondering if anyone could throw a quick price of a system together for me.. as I am less than educated on HTPC/SFF components.. especially prices.

I'm only after a rough figure.

Many thanks :)

well I've just built a Atom 330 dual core (2x 1.6) with 500GB and 2GB mem in a silverstone LC05 case for under £200.
It's mini-itx which is very small, but this system isn't designed for displaying anything like HD. Though if you are using it only for streaming then it would do.

Depends how big/small you want it, how much hard drive space you need and whether is it just going to sit streaming or be used to viewing as well.

Hi, I just wondered what specific components you used for your mini-atx computer. Looking at building one soon perhaps, but have only built a full tower before, so don't want to go making mistakes :)

It was a Mini - ITX rather than ATX - the size difference is a lot. :D

I got an intel atom 330 board from the MM (thats the dual core version), think you can get them for around £80
Picked up a 2nd hand Silverstone LC05 for £45
500GB Seagate barracuda - £41
Spare optical drive lying around
2GB DDR667 corsair - £23

There is a PSU in the case so using that for the time being, but I have a spare 120W itx brick doing nothing at the moment, so may use that if need to.

building mini-itx rather than full atx isn't really much difference, just gotta plan space a lot better :D Hope that helps. GL
