Hello everyone,

For an X-mas present, I want to build an Home Theatre PC for my family so they can watch Blu-ray's on the new TV and so my dad can play F1 2012 :p. I have some of the components including the:

HDD (120GB OCZ SSD + 1TB Samsung SpinPoint F1)
ODD (Lite-On Blu-ray reader)
RAM (8GB G.Skill 1600MHz)
GPU (AMD Radeon HD6850)
PSU (BeQuiet 530w)
Case (Bitfenix Prodigy)

All I need now is the CPU and Motherboard. Obviously the motherboard has to be Mini-ITX and has to have a full speed PCI-E slot. Preference is Intel and the budget is no more than £200 (£250 at max).

Thanks!

Go for a Piledriver and a cheap mobo. :)

go for an i3 CPU and a gigabyte z77 D3H

Can people stop giving bad and (more annoyingly) non descript advice. You are not helping and obvoisly just trolling your post count.

Where the rest of us are trying to help those who want it.

An i3 will run most games easily. Games don't use more than 2 cores yet and may not for a fair while.

for a small period of time i ran the old clarkdale i3 with a 660ti and i could still play the likes of BF3 everything turned up full with no lag.

i3 packs a bigger punch than people think
