Recently hooked my HTPC to my LG tele using the motherboards (F-I90HD) hdmi for audio and video... But i'm getting quite bad crackling coming through and from what I can tell, the hd audio on these boards is pretty pap...

Far too difficult to get a dedicated sound card and route that it, so i'm planning to get a new gfx card that can handle video and audio.. I'm led to believe recent cards can do this...

My main question is, would the gfx cards DVI slot carry audio when using a DVI-HDMI converter? and would this quality be as good as getting a gfx card with hdmi out?

Absolute minimum spend required on this i'm afraid!
