HTPC speaker setup

Hi guys

Im looking at buying a sound card and 5.1 speaker setup for my HTPC but i really dont know what to choice?

ive got around 200-250 quid but would like to spend as little as possible tbh any surgestions guys?

are they compatable? ive used onboard sound for tooooo long

They will work excellent, use that combo myself, though do remember the X-Fi features such as EAX and upmixing only work through the analogue. No biggie though, still sounds excellent, just might matter to anyone planning to use an external decoder.
