I’m about to order the below for a HTPC, anyone see any problems?

I’m a little concerned about the stock cooler on the 7750+ Black Edition, anyone know if its quite enough for a HTPC? If not can anyone recommend a cooler that will fit in the case?

Thanks

The CPU is more than enough for Hi-def movies and tv, I use the E2220 in mine without any problems.

The stock cooler should be fine, I had the Thermalright SI 128 when I had my Antec.

I'd say to try it, if you notice it as being loud you can always throw an after market cooler in afterwards if it's noticeable.

Even with HD content though, most CPUs won't be taxed enough to need the fan at full tilt.

You may even want to try a small overclock/undervolt. Heat is proportional to the square of the voltage, so even a fairly small drop in the voltage can produce surprisingly large drops in temperature.

Sounds like a good plan

Cheers
