Just looked at building a HTPC and came up with the following:
Antec Fusion Remote HTPC Case - Silver £122
Asus M4A785TD-M Evo AMD 785G (Socket AM3) £69
Corsair Value Select 2GB (1x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz £54
AMD Athlon II X2 Dual Core 240 2.80GHz £42
Corsair CX 400W ATX Power Supply £34
Samsung SpinPoint F1 320GB £35
Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB £65
Comes in just over £500 for a decent HTPC and I take it I could connect it up to my Onkyo 706 AMP via HDMI and that would take the audio and sound from the pc. Furthermore the remote control with the case would allow me to control the pc fine?
Also whats a good media centre for playing videos on the pc?
