Hi all,

So I'm in the process of re-purposing my desktop from the desk to the TV cabinet. I'm currently setting up the relevant software I want (Kodi, Steam BPM, Hyperspin... ), alongside the dual TV tuner and HDMI-USB CeC so my TV remote will control the relevant applications.

I've got an idea on some cases, the budget isn't massive either, but it would be handy to know of any recommendations or opinions anyone has on the matter before I drop my coins.

It needs to support full-sized ATX mobo with a full-sized PSU. I'm running an Arctic Silencer Pro 64 cooler, but if necessary I'll purchase a smaller cooling solution (if the budget permits). I also have a Radeon 7850, which is pretty might in size.

Only need one HDD bay (5") and optical drive bay is optional (but preferred).

I've got my eye on these (as it seems to fit all my needs), but if there's anything smaller (as it wont leave much space in the cabinet for air to flow) that'll meet those requirements, I'm all ears!

The SST-GD10 has my eye, as the lockable door will keep my toddler daughter out (and we have child #2 due in January, the more locks the better!)

Thanks :).

I would be looking at tge GD09 myself, having used the Lascala for full ATX in the past and a GD02 too.

It really does not need to look much in a TV cab, both the above had issues, drop down flap was a pain as was the depth of the Lascala, the GD02 was poor at cooling and collected dust, plus the hidden optic drive was problematic, and the optic drive overheated for some reason too.

If I was going that way again, it would be the GD09 as it has dust filters, looks unobtrusive, takes standard components though cooler height may be an issue, but most importantly is not as deep as it is wide like some of those cases.

Thanks for the replies.

I do like the door of the GD10, but I've given everything a re-measure in the TV cabintet, and the the GD09 looks like the better bet - its got 4cm extra depth, which gives me significantly more room for the cabling, the GD10 would require me to cut much of the cabinet's back panel away to allow for effective ventilation and wiring.

I'll take a look at the Fractal today as that's actually the shallowest (the Zalmanis too deep).
Thanks all,

I had a GD10 and that door is a right pain. Whoever thought that sticking the power/reset button behind it was a good idea is a idiot.
