HTPC to Server transition

I've recently bought an Apple TV, and all is working well with a combination of running Plex, Infuse and iTunes homesharing, so i've moved my HTPC back to a tower case and stuck it in a cupboard.

The specs are:

Asrock H97 m/itx
Intel G3220
8gb Fury Hyper X
60gb Kingston SSD
4 x circa 1Tb HDDs
LG Bluray drive
Corsair 450W PSU (from an old build!)

Considering it now serves as a server, and I do follow the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach. Is there anything drastic that I could gain by swapping some components out? Im assuming a smaller capacity PSU would be a start, and maybe a more up-to date motherboard with more SATA ports?

Thanks.

if Plex does any transcoding then a better CPU would help. But if all your stuff is direct play then leave as is I would say.

The first question is “why?” If its meeting your expectations then just leave it be.

Just wanted to see if I was missing out on any extra functionality that could easily be gained. But yes, I am of the same opinion of you for the moment.

Everything's direct play through my Apple TV and Infuse
