Right, I've never played with HTPCs or SFFs before, so I'm starting from scratch here and could do with a bit of advice if possible!
I would like a box that can sit next to my TV. It will mainly have music & pictures on its hard drive, so it needs to be able to stream music out through the Hifi system. It also needs to be able to display its pictures on the TV.
It won't have a screen of its own, it will obviously just use the TV. However most of the time I'd like to be able to use it without the screen, so it could do with a small LCD screen or similar (like a normal CD player). Needs a remote control of course, and will probably run Vista Home Premium for its Media Center.
It will be wired into my home network so I can use RDC to administer the system.
As I said I'm completely new to this so if there's some information I've missed, tell me.
So, what should I be looking at?
