HTT and overclocking

Well I know there is no benefit to the HHT being over 1000mhz, infact its recommended to stay at 1000mhz

But if you underclock with a divider would it reduce performance? I have o/c my BUS to 230mhz giving a 300mhz boost to CPU, but my divider has made my HT Link run at 920mhz

Would that hinder my oc?
 
Indeed it doesn't. I've never observed a clear drop in performance due to HTT unless dropped below 600MHz and even then it wasn't significant. Feel free to continue clocking that chip though :)
