I use an aftermaket Alpine head unit, so you have presets for :
I am not sure what options are in built in systems these days, but what is your strategy to set them up. ?
I have previously made calculations for Time correction for drivers position with ms time delays (FR 3 FL 1.5 RR 0.7 RL 0 ), so, you delay speaker closest too you, these have a big impact on the sound.
For equalizers, since you have multiple bands, could play your favourite/most-familiar songs, but with multiple bands it is difficult to adjust them all.
Maybe really fancy system you can configure with a microphone like home A/V but I don't have that, although this older article talked about an iphone app, ( I was surprise iphone microphones are good enough) maybe there are newer/better apps. ?
a. Time correction
b. 7 Band graphic equalizer (7 bands +/-6db) or
5 band parametric equalizer (20hz-20Khz - 1/3 octave steps +/- 6db)
[need to better understand the difference between these I assume equalizer has equal sized frequency steps ]
