Huawei Ascend G300

I'm needing to help.
I entered the sim unlock code, I'm sure it said unsucessful. Any it moved onto the home screen.
On the lock screen o2 appears as "telefonica o2 uk limited" and I know I can make out going calls as I rang the house to check.
But I can't seem to access the web, even inputting the guide posted on here. Weirdly though my phone has the tesco mobile thing already put in.

I bought one of these for my GF 3 weeks ago. I had it rooted and installed a generic ROM in less than half an hour.

Pretty incredible phone for the price paid. The resolution is quite rubbish on paper, but in practice it actually isn't too bad. For £100 I haven't got a bad word to say about it.

Working:
Mobile Data - 3G/2G
Network and RIL
Sound
Sensors
Live Wallpapers
USB Mass Storage
Wi-Fi

Currently not Working:
All Camera features
Bluetooth
Google Talk

No unlocking guide,it`s either free unlock from vodaphone (if you get it from them and ask nicely) or the `bay and buy one (around a £5).

Tesco are doing these for £100 now, locked to Vodafone.

Are these worth the money then? I'm after something for £100 or less and they look to be pretty good. I've been without a phone for a while after crushing my iPhone and I've got a decent SIM deal for a tenner a month, so am looking for something cheap and cheerful.

Well, had mine for a few weeks now and absolutely love it. China just had the ota update to ics so it shouldn`t be too long before we have it. One thing tho,the bootloader is locked on ics,but a workaround for root has been found already.so i expect the bootloader will be unlocked too in the future. :)

How smooth of an experience is it when browsing/playing games etc?

I have an iPhone as my main phone but use a San Fran 2 for Android. Would this be much of an upgrade or not?

I can't understand the need for higher resolution than this, if you can't see the pixels i think you've reached the point of diminishing returns, retina displays and such sound like an unnecessary performance drain, also unless you play 3d games whats the use in quad cores?

Seems this phone does everything i need and more for a very reasonable price, my first smart phone and it's far better than expected.

Does anyone know if Skype and Skype video calls work with this phone?

Cheers
