Huawei band 5 not charging

I have a Huawei band 5 which was left for about 6 months. Was working fine but now it doesn't charge up and switch on.
I guess it's because the battery has discharged too much. Is there anything I can do to get it going again?

How long are you leaving it plugged in? It can take some time for the battery to recover although as you're aware it may not.

I have Bluetooth transmitter that fully discharged a while ago and I seem to recall it took around an hour before it started charging normally. Before that it was showing a charge rate of around 0.1mAh or less on a USB Charge Meter.

Replacing the battery would be an option assuming you can get hold of a replacement battery and actually get into the Band.

I can't find any where selling replacement batteries
