Huawei

To be fair it begs the question of which manufacturers can we trust with our data? At the very best majority collect only "diagnostic" data with many also collecting marketing and usage statistics as well.

I think consumers have decided with their wallets that they couldn't give a toss about these continual scare stories regarding Huawei.

If there's a way to not get spied on using a modern smart phone which has a shared calendar with my other devices, then I'd be interested to know what poeple use.

Of course, you'd also want to make sure that the server you build doesn't have any data going back to Microsoft or whoever you get the OS from.
And that the smart phone you're using doesn't have any data going back to it's manufacturer.

What does any of that have to do with Huawei? The issues around security have nothing to do with their phones, as has been explained many times in such articles and in other threads here.
