Hello, I Have AW8 Max which has been working fine for a couple of months, last night I went on the net and my AVG picked up several virus files which I deleted, I rebooted my machine and the board goes through the post process but didn't recognise any of the hard drives, all 6 of them!

I tried to reload windows on to one of the drives but when it gets to the first reboot ie after the windows blue screen setup it just goes into continuous reboot

I pulled ide drive out of another machine and this seemed to boot ok, my 6 drives are all sata

is it possible that avirus has shafted my sata raid chips, or has anyone got any other ideas

thanks

Did you try to see if everything was setup in the bios fine, make sure everything is in place in side the case, graphics card, memory, CPU, plugs are correctly set in place.

There maybe also a bootvirus bootup in the bios that could be enabled and tryed.

Maybe if your still getting no luck try updating your bios.

Thanks for the replies, I have recovered most of the data, it just *appeared* to be missing when I plugged the HD's into another system, forgot I had to bring the HD's online

Still can't boot though, lease I know the HD's are ok, the bios goes through the POST but reboots when at dmpool update(or similar) so I can't start windows at all

I have flashed the BIOS but still the same, any other ideas?

thanks

Clear CMOS - read the instructions and leave it for AT LEAST 10 minutes. I would leave it clearing while you sleep - my DFI has a habbit of keeping settings if I clear for less than a few minutes.
