It's the first gen DDR5 memory controllers, surely that's to be expected? Takes a while for it to mature, we've seen the same thing with DDR4,3,etc.

Yup that's right but for some whom buy the expensive boards "Extreme" etc and 4 sticks of fast ram they just expect it to work out of the box and that's just not gonna happen this early on.. I've seen 6400 and good timings with 4 sticks but that's with a top 1% CPU which also does 7400mhz C30 stable

that's not gaming kits, I'm talking desktop/gaming kits not server
I wasted weeks trying to get four DDR4 Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro sticks to work at advertised speeds and timings.
I had a right load of blue screens and random crashes.
3500Mhz worked, 3600 did not.
Then Asus put out a motherboard BIOS update, and ta-da, everything worked as advertised.

Memory that isn't officially supported at those speeds/configs doesn't work properly ?
