Huge Let Downs

Im starting to notice a trend...

All the games people were most diapointed in were ones that were advertised as having "UBER AMAZING AWSOME NEW VISUALS"....

I hope game developers are reading this...
I'm starting to notice a trend where a developer will promise something and the player expects the game to take them to the promised land. Most people in this thread are just hard to please, unless they really are trying to make it sound like the biggest let downs they can think of in gaming history really were AAA titles like HL2 and Bioshock :p
GTA San Andreas(didnt like the whole street gang storyline)
LOL :D

Ever considered it might not be the game that is bad, but you? Not liking GTA because of a street gang storyline is a bit... stupid, surely? :p

The guy got to old to be a soldier of fortune and the ghost gimmick got to old to be cool so they didnt put any effort in to it.

No i meant the whole thing of starting off in the suburbs in like a street gang like the bloods and the crips, the other GTA games arent like that.

I agree with you, Vice City was clever in its play on stuff like Scarface, San Andreas had you cycling round the 'hood calling everybody 'dawg'

Oh, and CoD's 2 & 4. Not a patch on the original, they've gone from really gritty games to all out console type shooters.

hrmm not had that many that are soo bad.

Broken Sword 3 sleeping dragon was a bad purchase though

Age of Pirates: Carribean Tales (not shockingly bad but bad enough)

everything else has been alright i guess.... though i lament at the lack of new party-based rpgs.

Dont really have time to pc game so much now anyway.
