If you have a high-end sound card, the Vengeance 1300 will do it justice. If your audio card has CMSS™-3D or a similar 3D audio system, you’ll hear the subtle midband positional cues that you need to enjoy accurate 3D audio and play your best. Is your enemy behind you and to the left, or to the right? Are they behind a wall, or do they have you in their crosshairs? Gaming sound designers work hard to make audio sound great, and your high-end sound card and Vengeance 1300 are a great combination for making that happen.
The results of obsessive audio engineering

The massive 50mm drivers greatly reduce the overloading and distortion that can occur with gaming headsets that use 40mm drivers. You get more accurate sound reproduction (particularly for the all-important low-frequency effects). You hear more audio, more cleanly, and you get a competitive advantage.

The extra-wide, extra deep earcups don’t just help things sound great — they feel better, too. Customize your comfort with your choice of the included microfiber or synthetic leather covers. Both use memory foam earpads for a comfortable, reliable fit that conforms to the shape of your head without binding or pinching.=

The circumaural, closed-back design blocks distracting sounds and keeps your head in the game, and the extra-large inline volume and microphone control is easy to grab and use when the action heats up you don't need to take your eyes off the screen.

Whether you’re barking instructions to your teammates or chatting with old friends, you deserve to be heard. The unidirectional, noise-cancelling microphone is tuned to capture your voice loudly and clearly, while screening out distracting background noises. And, it flips out of sight when you’re not using it.

You need more than just dramatic audio. You need the comfort that allows you to play or talk for hours without thinking about what’s on your head. You need fidelity that gives you a listening experience that’s not just immersive — it must also be true to the source material. And, of course, you need the detailed positioning and situational awareness that lets you play your best.

I bought the Corsair 1300 in April. RAMGUY is prolly still waiting for the review I said I'd do :p

But I'll give my user feedback here for any potential buyers.

Nice and strong build quality, extremely comfortable ear cups and they do a great job at noise cancelling which I'm sure my family is sick of by now when they want my attention because I never hear them. The microphone is on like a ratchet so over the months/years I don't expect to have any microphone slippage. It can also be raised 90deg when you need to food your face. The mic quality capture quality in my own testing is very good, and this is what I was going to Youtube review for RAMGUY but never got around to it, however my friends say my old Razer Piranha(which broke) was nicer. I want to think it's because this mic is higher quality and they aren't used to it yet.

My 2 complaints is the volume and mute box on the lead, it's so high up on the lead that for my body size and shape it constantly bangs on my elbow so I have to feed it around my back and over my shoulder or pinch the lead between my arm and torso. Some people like the box location but personally I hate it, if it was even just 10cm further down the lead I'd have no issue with it. The last thing is the volume, it's a simple dial like most headphones and it's really easy to manipulate, so coupled with the box location and it's body collision you might end up adjusting your volume unintentionally.

I have the 1500s and i really like them. It may be my strange head, but they fit really snug and don't hurt when wearing for the long time.

I agree with the above about the volume control. Its a bit of a strange position. I never really use it though since i can control the volume on my keyboard.

But i has a nice sound to it. I usually play battlefield whilst watching TV, and it splits the audio quite nicely. Very nice surround, very immersive.

This might be a good time to change from my sc2 razor headset,
as its starting to creak in places, but I still like it.

Very tempting prices there ocuk.

The 2000 charging input for the headset will knacker out in time. I really love the headset but I wish they put more time and effort in to the charge input - It's a fundamental :/

Nice price on the vengeance, really tempted but so many people have had issues with them not sure it's worth the hassle.

corsair have one of the best peripheral RMA services through OcUK.

buy with confidence, if it ever does go wrong then your RMA will be quick and easy

Yes had noticed that. Gone for the purchase. Hoping that by the time they break they will have the new model out and will just upgrade me LOL

Personally wouldn't mind if my set crack like everyone says because of Corsair excellent RMA service.
To answer that persons question, they only run off USB I believe.

Receives good reviews for the sound quality. Going to admit that there are many people complaining about the plastic as it cracks near the earcups even with careful use.
Nothing a RMA can't fix though.

Amazing price for the 2000! My gf uses the one I won all the time and have to say its an awesome headset.

If I had the money I would probably replace my G930 with it :o
