Huge, really bad problem

Okay, have a problem. Formatted a HDD by accident, it really was by accident, and lost everything on there.

The story so far... Sisters Laptop, the Userdomain thingy in XP became corrupted, kept booting into a General User domain. So I tried to reinstall windows to remove the problem, which it didn't. So I then tired to live boot an ubuntu disk to get around NFTS partition security stuff. It said that it could not access the windows partition. Fair enough, so i thought that if I installed it and dual booted it might get around the problem. This was not the case, during the install thing it had to format the Hard Drive. So boom, all my sisters music gone. She is Psycho, will actually kill me.

So is there anyway to recover it?

First thing, stop using the computer. The more you use it, the more files will be overwritten.

Then try that, and hope it brings back all the important files.

Try GetDataBack for NFTS. It is paid for but good. As Mr.Sly said do not use the drive at all.
