Huge reductions in foreign student numbers

Watch an episode of border patrol uk.
Every other dirty foreigner came in on a student visa then vanished off the grid and got a job in a Bangladeshi restaurant and lives 5 to a bed in East London.

These are facts people. Send them back, leave the eu, take back our sovereignty. Fight them on the beaches, there'll be bluebirds over the white cliffs of Dover. My old mum would be spinning in her grave of she saw what petticoat lane looked like now, coo love a duck

By 'international' what do they mean? Those from outside the EU or all students from outside GB?

Who pays for the students? You mention they pay but do they really pay £20k a year or are they sponsored somehow? Are they sponsored by the GB government or do their governments fund it?

International students are non EU students that pay the full fees via private funding i.e. Bank of mum and dad etc.

The reason for the drop in numbers is because people have been moaning about immigration for ages and the idiots in government as usual use a sledge hammer to crack a nut and cut non EU immigration by cutting student numbers. That way non EU numbers look lower and it appeases the anti immigration lot.

The money they pay is either from their rich parents or from foreign scholarship schemes private or public which are also paid in full prior to registration. Since the caps have been removed, domestic student prices are heading there but foreign students will always pay considerably more. I know someone studying a medical undergraduate degree who was from China and was paying £31,000 per year tuition in 2014/15.

This thread isn't about eu vs the rest of the world, they are cutting ALL student numbers. Eu numbers will reduce further naturally as we leave since some students from certain eu countries will lose the ability to pay for UK education using their country of origins student schemes. Regardless, we dont pay for foreign students, so far they have been paying for our domestic students and working to the benefit of our local universities.

You don't understand the concept of subsidised education, do you?
Fill a few places with foreign students, leaves more money in the budget, as they pay more than local students.

On my course it was a split. A lot of the foreign students didn't pay, they received bursaries and scholarshipso from the school or uni as a whole.

Scholarships are earned and it is performance which should decide who gets them not where the student is from. You are paying for the brightest to study there to eventually benefit the place they study in.

Bursaries are given out to those eligible and for foreign students it depends on a number of factors including their country of origin because it is usually claimed from one foreign government/educational body or another.

Fundamentally the problem is this; our current rate of population growth is unsustainable and already communities are feeling the pressure from this growth. It doesn't matter whether the growth is coming from students, workers from Visigrad nations, or intra-company transfers - Britain is full.

^^^^This is true.

It took me 40 minutes at mid day to get my missus 3 miles down the ****ing road for a works pick up point.

I never really liked driving always thought it a need for work type thing.

I been driving over 20 years and its bloody ridiculous now, it takes me 10+ minutes to drive just over mile to get my daughter to dance.

Doctors 2 week wait for an appointment.
Dentist appointment 3 months+.

I know for a fact the current UK infrastructure, health care, schools and logistics are at breaking point.

If lazy people got off their arses and walked for short journeys there'd be a lot.less traffic...

So you expect me to walk my 10 year old daughter 1.5miles to a dance lesson and me to walk 1.5miles back and then another 1.5miles there and another 1.5miles back with my daughter.

So my daughter will have had a 2+ hours dance lesson and also had to walk 3 miles and I have had to walk 6 miles.

I don't do lazy m8 am practical. ;)
