Huge SN Margin drops

I'm on ADSL 2 and I can't keep connected for more than a minute, because my SN margin will drop to very low figures such as from a healthy 12 to -25.4294967291, which obviously causes the router to disconnect.

My line attenuation is 38, I'm 2.5 km from the exchange, no noise on the telephone line, have an engineer installed adsl box but have tried a microfilter, all no change, and I can see nothing that could be causing interference from the master socket to where it goes underground outside my house.

Is there anything else I could try? Could it be a problem at the exchange?

Sorry to hear it but if you have a built in face plate filter and have already tested from the test socket with a normal filter you could try factory resetting the router/upgrading the firmware, WD40 on the RJ11 cable :p .

But really get your ISP to tell BT unless you can think of anything that co insides with the event in your house.

Cheers for the help, I had feared that there was nothing more I could try my end.
