Hello,

So after looking more into which Freesat recorder to get, I have got it down to these two. The Humax would require another LNB as it does not work on the Sky Q wide band. Also it's over 4 years old so not sure how long Humax will support it with updates. The Freesat 4k recordable 4k tv box is the other choice. It is a newer box and will work with the existing Sky Q LNB. However customer reviews on Amazon have only marked it as 56% positive reviews and there is a lot of feedback about poor quality software and breaking boxes. So I have given the Pro's and Cons for both, so would like to know which one everyone else would choose.

Humax only available second hand. Freesat box seems to be the only one available now.

I bought a freesat one because the tuner section on my ageing Panasonic Blueray recorder failed. Freesat box is very low spec compared to Panasonic.
