Humble drops Linux and MAC support.

Unfortunately but understandable; the vast majority of the gaming market is on MS/Windows, and as shown by Linus' recent videos on the state of Linux/Linux Gaming, its not ready yet and suffers from massive fragmentation; and as reported by other devs, tends to cause a lot of development/support requirements, for a minimal return.

In the future if MAC/Linux continue to grow, they may begin to support again, but right now, it, unfortunately, makes sense.

I actually sympathise. Working in software development where we support many platforms, even the likes of AIX/HPUX, it adds on so much overhead to test and qualify that nothing has broken on all platforms.
 
Yeah, and that's the problem. PCs are already hard to support, with all the infinite component and driver combinations, compared to a fixed platform like Iphones or consoles; adding a niche PC OS, when the vast majority are on Windows just doesn't make sense except for Indie devs who do it as a labour of love; or behemoth companies who can afford the extra work it entails; especially with the fragmentation of linux across various distros and kernels etc; it is unfortunate for Linux gaming as a whole (in fact Valve's SteamDeck might do wonders for Linux/Proton support overall; as it'll be a particular Linux OS config build to target for gaming), but by and large Linux and Mac support just don't make sense for most.
