Gilly posted one of himself in the other thread, if anyone else chooses to post ones of themselves, they will. But until then, unlikely, due to the "manipulation" that inevitably gets done to the pics. The few spoil it for the many, as always.

don't you know that it's a forum MUST to include a picture of a mobile in every shot :D

As always, that's the reason given. But how come some Dons (like those in RG) have no problem posting images of themselves there and in threads here? They don't seem to have any horrific manipulation done to them either. And after the Swansea Do pictures were posted (and party hats removed from the faces) nothing bad happened to them either. Maybe some people are just too paranoid? :o

Those dons decide whether they want to appear on pics in GD, and the people at the oobiedoo also decided whether they wanted to appear.

What you have seen is the outcome.

There's no law that states that "If any moderators have a get together, they MUST splash pictures of it all over the forums they moderate" is there?

If thats the case then why bother even starting these threads? Why let the general public of members know they even happened?

Guess not

I was mainly responding to the photo-manipulation argument. But I'll say no more on the matter.

We can't talk about them on the forums? We're members too.

Fair enough matey. In the end it comes down to personal choice. There's not much more I can say either.

Thought that was what you private rooms were for? Don/UB business? Which was obviously where it was all discussed previously.

Canny steak mind!

Yeah, but still, a meet-up is a general happening and this is general discussion. All of the planning for it went on in the SE, but the people that the users of the SE got to know about the do through speaking to UBs/Dons and they wanted to know what went on. They found out.

The fact there's no pics to go with it might be a shame, but nothing can really be done about it. it is personal choice after all.
