I'm looking to buy a copy of Adobe Dreamweaver, but the only versions I can find are the super expensive full version, and the Student version. The price for the student version is about right, but you have to prove to Adobe that you're actually a student. Which I'm not.

So does anyone know of any where I can obtain a copy of this software from? Legally of course. I don't mind it being an older version - I used to use MX and that was fine for what I needed. I don't mind paying around £100 for it either.

If you look around you can get the stundent license by just supplying a copy of a NUS id. Only way you'll get the student license is if you know someone with said ID and will help you buy it.....

Or get them to buy it, then simply give them the cash.

In any case, doing so would proberly be in breech of the license meaning you are not running a legal license. Defeats the point really doesn't it....

Where abouts?

Usually they wiill check with the academic institution. I have my nus still but graduated two months ago, would be cool to take advantage of student dicounts one last time.

Just get a pirated copy, you're not going to be legally licensed if you do that anyway.

ask yourself if you really need dreamweaver might be an idea to ditch it and learn to code by hand.

In part I agree - however once you get the hang of DW it really does make things much easier than coding from scratch!
Shame those apps are so bloomin expensive - the price of the CS3 suite is staggering!!

CS4 is close to launch, might push down the cost of previous versions, that said the master collection for just over £2300 is pretty decent considering what you'll get for the money.

You could buy my old full copy of Dreamweaver MX 2004 which I no longer use if you like. Email me at phil (at) swfbb.com

I dont think it makes anything easier I learned to do what dreamweaver could do and more. I'm not bound to a particular platform either.
