I went for an interview yesterday at the NHS to be a Quality Control Technician in the Pharmacy Dept.
Today I had another interview which went very well to work at the NHS in a Careers Support role for Young Apprentices.
I got home to see 2 letters from the Jobcentre saying they can't pay me anymore :(
During my rant the phone rang and the Pharmacy have offered me the job :D
I'm just hoping I get the phone call I really want later today but either way I've now got a job that will be very interesting.

Thanks to Huddy for his advice which obviously worked.

Kudo's (or Kudos?) for the public thankage - it's not done enough here esp with the amount of help that goes about

Good luck with the job, not sure if this is relevent but the last time I was in a pharmacy I saw the utter most fit Irish blonde pharmacist....random..

Don't believe it.
I've just had a phone call telling me to expect a phone call from the Juvenile Prison within the next few days (heard that one before though).

Well done mate! You'll have to pour a bottle of beer all over Huddy when you see him. Psht. Glug glug glug glug. Aaaaahhhhhhh.

Nice one - It's always a good feeling getting that acceptance call. :)

How long have you been unemployed?

How long have you been unemployed?

Since Sept 15th but to be honest I wanted to try a few things first and didn't actually look for a job until 6 weeks ago.
I kept fobbing the Jobcentre off so that I could try new things and find something I really wanted.
I didn't want the first job I saw and be upset for the rest of my life like a lot of my ex workmates are going to be.
The Pharmacy job is going to be very interesting but hopefully within 2 hours I'll get the call I really want.
If not I'll still be happy.

Careful, I think the anti-benefits mob are lighting their torches...

I'm glad you decided to find out what suited you rather than simply getting the first job you could out of fear.

I don't know ... he was looking into getting a job in an area he wanted instead of just sponging off benefits so I see no issue with what he was doing ... the anti-benefit zealots can go swivel in this case ;)

Well done to dmpoole.

You haven't worked for a while, but didn't you do youth work with juvenile prisons or something? I'm sorry, I can't remember properly. Congratulations on the new job though :)

I worked voluntarily with Juvenile Offenders for 3 months and had an interview for the very same job I did.
I honestly thought I'd got it but they employed someone else and apparently he's making enemies of everybody including staff and offenders.
Their loss.
