Hi guys, had about 2 weeks off and thought i would make the most out of the brilliant weather, so i spent two days on the isle of wight taking pictures and am really unimpressed with the results.

So the following day i went to Hurst castle near Southampton and got a few shots of the lighthouse and castle.

So cast your eyes over these and give me your criticisms, thanks.

I really like the 3rd one, nice angle although I think it could have been a wee bit better compositionally (perhaps a bit lower with the camera if possible, or further back). Still a fantastic shot though.

hi guys, thanks for the replies.

Wasn't sure about the final one, but it's grown on me. The shot with the buttercups i have from loads of different angles but still haven't had a chance to process them, so will have a look and get back to you.

Nikon D70, getting a bit long in the tooth now and the sensor needs a damn good clean, taken with the standard 17-80mm kit lens.

What at 300mm?

Lol, nice photos...but I thought you meant Hurst castle along Highway 1 in the USA when I saw this thread.
