Having an issue that I think I’ve narrowed down to this programme. My 1gig internet is getting around 940 consistently when testing. As soon as I open HWinfo it’s dropping to around 200-300.

Anyone had anything similar?
 
Either a conflict with your network card's driver which needs updating or your version of HWINFO needs updating.

Realtek 2.5Gb onboard NIC here running at 1Gb and all good:

you can test if it's the NIC conflict or not by simply turning off LAN monitoring (hide basically) as it's not a monitoring stat that's useful in any way in HWINFO.

It was the driver. I uninstalled completely and reinstalled from Asus and I’m getting solid speeds now.

Thanks for your help. I’ve also got rid of the Lan Monitoring in HWinfo just because like you say it’s not needed.
