HWMonitor reading 127c

Does anyone know if these 118c & 127c readings are just an error with the HWmonitor software

This is with my system just at idle with no loads

Iirc 127 is no read from the sensor, or can't read it properly. You can safely ignore it.

Yeah, it could be.

One of my NVME drives reads at -200 something I just assume it's bugged for one reason or another

127 is suspicious as that’s possibly the limit of what the sensor/software could report if it’s using 8-bit signed integers. Not an expert (someone please educate me more if you know).

This would suggest an error or no connection etc. If components were hitting that you’d probably notice other issues with the machine anyway and it’s be unlikely to manifest at idle.

I agree, and can also recommend Open Hardware Monitor, though the last release was a while ago

I had a similar reading on an ASRock board. As others have said it is a sensor that does not exist hence the alarmingly high temp reading. Safe to ignore.

I'm not sure I've ever not had a sensor show up as something ridiculous with Hwmonitor etc.
