Hybrid Bike for GF (Spec me?)

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has any ideas on this, my girlfriend is looking for a new bike, just for road usage and maybe some gravel paths, lanes etc, nothing overly offroady in terms of terrain and we weren't sure whether to go Hybrid or Mountain? realistic budget is upto £150, she's 5"6 average leg length (As ladies bikes seem to have upto 5"6 and 5"6+ sizes)

Any ideas on what might be a good purchase at this price point?

at £150 - nothing tbh....

best bet is a 2nd hand trek navigator, spec crossroads or giant escape

A cx bike sounds more like what you need, certainly not a mountain bike. With a budget of £150 however, if you don't go second hand you're going to end up with something horrific.
