This still really riles me. Why on earth do nVidia prevent the use of ATI rendering and nVidia physx, when you have to buy a green card to do the physx anyway!
Creating software timebombs for hardware that the end user has paid for and owns is utterly unethical. Imagine if Asus motherboards had a bios that preventing them from working if any other manufacturers hardware was used - people would go ballistic!

One of the reasons I will never buy an Nvidia graphics card again. How many feel the same way as I do and these are lost customers to Nvidia, which they must realise and obviously dont care about.

And to think people who claim they aren't fanboys, call people like us who feel this way, fanboys.
I'm convinced nVidia lost the plot a long time ago really especially considering the only people really likely to use an nVidia card for PhysX with an ATi one for the main display, are going to be fairly clued up about hardware in the first place.
They really must think people aren't going to get on to them and that no negativity will come from it either.

I think Nvidia have stooped to an all time low with this. Surely this is illegal. Next thing we know will be Nvidia sponsored games being crippled on Ati graphics cards, or is this already happening?

Not when your framerate drops to about 3fps in a game................

It is totally baffling why nvidia does this. Fair enough if someone chooses ATI as the main GPU but why on earth would you stop them *buying* an nvidia card for PhysX..
