Hybrid Ultrabooks

Hey everyone,

So I am really quite excited about ultrabooks, even more so when they are equipped with Ivybridge.

I just wanted to get the general idea on what you guys think about hybrid ultrabooks? There are a few in the pipeline and I think they will be out soon. Do you like the sound of having a laptop/tablet in one?

Do you like them seperate? Or in another form factor? Or even not at all?

If I wanted a tablet, I'd buy a tablet. If I want a laptop I buy a laptop. I can't think of any reason I'd want to own a more flimsy laptop just to have the option of converting it into a device which uses a useless form factor.

P.S. tablets are pointless.

I think that a tablet is much better at being a tablet than a laptop is. So if you want a tablet, buy a tablet.

I am sure you can all see this is kind of how the ultrabook market is heading though right? What with windows 8 now here.

I see there are a lot of new models of hybrid ultrabooks on the way, are there any anyone likes?

Hybrids have been around before but ultimately failed.. theres only a small market for hybrids tbh. I'd rather have a decent laptop/computer and a tablet as an extension of it.
