Hyper 580W Modular : BANG!!

Just went to turn on my PC and, BANG!!!!

Sparks flew out of the side of the PSU and a very stong "electrical" smell, hoping that it hasn't taken anything else with it

Not impressed !

I've had it for about 8 months, I honestly think there must be some kind of defect with these PSU, when they "go" they really "go"!!

I won't be buying another Hyper that damn sure.

Well I was lucky plugged in another PSU and everything is fine

Very poor customer service from Hiper as well, tried to call them and left voicemails and they never return your calls, try to leave a RMA request:-
