hyper v - HOST failed, how to move VM?

morning all,

so my hyperv host died this morning.

I have a spare box that I've just installed the visor on.

I can access the hdd of the failed host though a ubuntu live cd. My question is, how do I move/copy the VM from the dead machine to the working one?

is it a simple case of grabbing the vm files, copying them over and importing them?

arh!! no need!

in my own awesomeness I had changed the default location to a different disk array.

simply reinstall server 2012 and point back to the new default location and import.
