I have just copied a few VMs over to Hyper-V on Windows 8 and trying to get networking sorted. I have a DC and a few dev VMs that I need to connect to the VM.
What type of network do I need to create? I want to have internet access so I thought I'd create a private network for the domain connectivity between VMs and also an external adapter for internet connectivity.
When I did this in Virtualbox previously I had to change settings in the adapter settings to give static ips, subnet mask, default gateway and default dns server entries. Do I need to do the same thing?
When I enter 'domainname' it asks for credentials and then gives me a message saying "an attempt to resolve the dns name of a domain controller in the domain being joined has failed".
Any ideas?
