So i've got hyper v installed on 8.1, started to create virtual machines and then realised i had to create a virtual switch for it to connect to my Physical lan. I've selected the option to 'allow management OS to share connection', ensured the virtual network adaptor is in the virtual switches range and when i apply the settings i lose connectivity on my physical machine -but can see the virtual machine ive created.
Would it be easier / better to use a 2nd physical connection in my machine to connect the virtual switch to?
