Stupid question time!

I'm used to vmware which i run off an internal SD or USB key...does hyper-v need actual hard disks or can they be run off removable storage?

If it does require disks how much space and performance does each host need?

I'm looking at replacing our VMware infrastructure with Hyper-V this year. I've got a bit to learn and test in the next 6 months, any good resources you could point me to?

Thanks

You can download Windows Hyper-V Server 2012 R2 for free and play from there, plenty of guides for setting up a machine (windows8.1) to administer the host machine. it's a shame they didn't include the GUI admin tools.

Not sure what the hd requirement is but its gonna be close to a standard windows installation.
