Is it me or is this a lot of hassle? I was thinking of building an HTPC for it but I'm thinking I might go with the original plan of buying the hardware I used to have!

Are there any noob step by step guides/all-in-one idiot installers?

EDIT: D'oh, just found a few, but have people had much success with it at all, and is it really that good?

Unzip, Update, Get Roms, Configure.

Hyperspin is legal but downloading of the roms is illegal so I don't think anyone would help you configure it.

The help is better over at Hyperspin forums.

No worries - no ROM talk needed. I was just a bit confused with the database set up and the like really.

I'll go have a nosey over there but it'd be nice if they just had a wizard that autofiltered.

There isn't anything hard about it it's only directories and configurations. If you run the HyperSpin config utility (Green Icon, HQ logo) it does around 60% of the config for you.

You need to download your own content though but Hyperspin forums are best bet.
