Hyperthreading not available?

I have a new Intel E8400 CPU in an Asus P5NT Deluxe MB. The motherboard manual says that I should enable Hyperthreading in the Bios under the Advanced menu. There's no sign of this optoin though. I'm running XP service pack 2 btw.

Any thoughts on where the Hyperthreading option is hiding?

i dont think the cpu has hyper threading??

The current ones don't have HT (only the P4 before it). The new chips coming out at the end of the year do though.

With an E8xxx installed you should have an option called, Core Multi-Processing. It should be enabled by default.
