Hey guys, you may see my thread below and I'm currently using the original HyperX Cloud with the 3.5mm jacks and I'm having the issue with IEM or grounding which is causing loud crackling in the headset. I've been told by a few people that this issue would be fixed with a USB headset so I'm considering ordering the HyperX Cloud II.
So I have two questions if someone who owns a pair perhaps could answer or anyone with the knowledge
- As the Cloud II uses a USB adapator and isn't a USB connection by default, would this also fix the issue? I'm not sure it's considered a USB connection then to fix it? It would be my primary reason for ordering it.
- I've read there are some issues with the USB sound card, are these issues warranted and furthermore, can I use the USB connection without a) having the 7.1 surround sound enabled as I don't plan to use that and b) without actually using the sound card if it really does have issues?
