HyperX Fury RAM problem

I recently purchased a few budget parts for a PC build:

Hyper X Fury DDR3 1x8GB @1866GHz
ASUS 970 Pro Gaming Aura Motherboard

For some reason the RAM will not work in the motherboard and results in no post or display on screen. I have tested my brothers Crucial RAM which runs at 1600GHz in my motherboard and it works without any problems.
My Hyper X RAM works in his machine, so my RAM isn't defected.

I have tried updating the BIOS, didn't work.
I have tried to change the memory timing settings in BIOS but still no luck.

Does anybody have any ideas? Any help would be appreciated as I have searched online everywhere and none of the usual fixes work.

I have the Asus pro gamer z97 board and had the same problem. I didn't realise before I bought the ram that it wasn't listed on motherboards QVL. Luckily I was able to send it for full refund. You might need to do the same.
