Hi all, I hope someone can help me to get the declared clock of memory.
I have following components:
Phenom II 965 @ 3.4ghz, Gigabyte MA790X-UD3P (Bios revision F6), Geforce 9800gt and Kingston HyperX PC8500 currently working @ 800mhz (2x2gb).

I have tried setting the memory multiplier to 5.33 (getting 1066mhz) with voltage set to 2.1-2.2v and timings (5-5-5-15) acording to Kingston timing shown on their site but with no success, system was not stable (4 or 5 minutes till reboot).
Also I have tried putting memory in different slots and with one module at the time.... no success. Memory test are all good!

Thanks in advance...

Hello atreyo,

welcome to OcUK forums! :)

Please read and understand the forum rules and enjoy your stay . . .

I am running the same memory as you have but on a different motherboard, I did notice the board wasn't great at running the memory at DDR2-1066 while the HT Ref. was 200 with the 5.33 memory multiplier.

After some experimentation I found everything worked great once I raised the HT Ref. to 266MHz and used the [2:1] memory multiplier like so:

Of course once you raise your HT Ref. from 200 to 266 your gonna need to adjust the CPU Multiplier, CPU-NB Multiplier and the HT Link Multiplier to keep them in spec, this may or may not be new stuff to you so feel free to ask more questions if you need to!

Thanks for the welcome Big.Wayne,

Raised HT Ref. to 266mhz and for now system runs stable @1066mhz. Had some problems with ddr voltage but with few voltage experiments it's great now.

Thanks again.
