Hi all i am looking at buying the Hyundai ImageQuest HQP421HR 42" Plasma and want to know is it HD ready. It has a resolution of 1024x768 and on the official hyundai site( http://www.hyundaiq.com/ ) it says that it has a display capabillity (DTV) of 480p,576p,720p and 1080i, now i thought that if i saw a sreen with a res of 1024x768 and 720p then it was hd ready but the Hyundai ImageQuest HQP421SR 42" Plasma only has a screen res of 852 x 480 but in the spec it also says that it has a display capabillity of 480p,576p,720p and 1080i does that mean that the SR model is HD ready aswell?

Thankyou very much for any help and sorry if ive confused you cos i certainly confused myself

HD Ready means it can handle HD and scale it to the native res of the screen not run it at HD resolutions

Nah - to be "HD Ready" (the badge/standard, which is definitely what you want when buying a new TV) a display should have a vertical resolution of at least 720.
