Hi, just wondering what peoples views are on the following monitor:

Hyundai ImageQuest Q995 19'' Perfectly Flat CRT Monitor - Black/Silver (MO-004-HY)

I was loooking at Tft's a while ago, and i really dont think i can be fussed with them, with the higher prices, back light bleeds, "Native resoloutions" and so forth...

as the above monitor is the only one on OcUK, i was wondering what its actually like? Im basically after a gaming monitor, i currently have this Dell 19" monitor but the colours have gone all funny....silly thing...

Thanks in advance :)

Got one myself a couple of years ago, been quite happy with it too using 1280x1024 mainly & 1600x1200 for some gfx work, kept away from tft's mainly because of the natiive res malarky, but still fairly good imho for the money.

However, when i sat a 19"tft beside it the difference in sharpness was scary! so i folded and it's now only 2nd in line to a 20" WS philips and getting used to one resolution which actually isnt proving a problem so far, anyway the 19" in question was the Neovo here and have specced 3 system for others using that and they've all been quite chuffed so all in all well worth the extra poundage i'd say.

What the Neovo F-419 19" LCD Monitor ?

Ive been considering a Tft, just i really dont know, Widescreen im a bit yes/no on due to the native res thing as i said...but i mite get a "standard" 19"...but then my friend said why get a 19" over 17" wen the highest res is the same? :P ugh...

Yes that was the one, stuffed the link

Granted both the 17" & 19" do the same resolution, down to personal choice the environment its going into and whether or not you'd like the icons and text that little bit bigger.

Cant say i've compared a 17" to a 19" so wont comment on picture differences but for me and those i've used the 19" was the winner.

Know what you mean about going wide, i was in the same boat faffin around for weeks then just thought Oh sod it and got one, but it can be a very personal preference as your the one who has to look at it for the next 2-3 years, go have a look at some in the flesh and preferably hooked up working if possible.

Yea see i dont know anyone with widesreen tft's, and we dont have them at work as far as i can tell...I mite just get a Samsung Tft 19"...

Either Samsung SM-930BF 19" LCD Monitor - Silver/Black (MO-029-SA)
or
Samsung SM-940BF 19" LCD Monitor - Silver/Black (MO-041-SA)

As ive heard theyre both good for gaming...also ive seen the 940BF at a nice price elsewhere so i mite dig into the bank for that instead...Unless anyone has any other monitors that are worth a look? :S

Rite...Sorry for bumping the original question back up, but has anyone used the 9" Hyundai ImageQuest Q995 19'' Perfectly Flat CRT Monitor - Black/Silver (MO-004-HY) " ?

I dont believe im bothering with Tft's, not untill theyre better, least i know with a Crt everything will be perfect, and i dont have to worry about dead pixels, back light bleed forming or running the monitor at its "native" res, seriously what is that about neway? :P

Anyone comments on the hyundai, or any other 19" crt, will be greatful :)

Yes, I'm running one right now, brilliant monitor. What else can I say? I've had no trouble with it at all. (Almost a year old now).

P.S. If you have a specific question about the monitor, give me a pm and I will try to help.
