I have had my W241D for over 18 months now (got it the very day it came out!) and have been very happy with it.
However as time has gone I have noticed it bleeding a lot more than it used to, and its horizontal viewing angel is decreasing to the point where if I sit at the side of the monitor for gaming I have to up the brightness significantly.
Is it time for an upgrade?
Looking at the Dell Ultrasharp or the NEC 24WMGX3 as possible alternatives...
Any advice on either of these vs each other and vs what I currently have would be much appreciated.

Edit: Just noticed the NEC doesn't have component input and I need this for my xbox! Any recommendations must have one.

just buy an adapter for it :P

Edit: I think Its worth it simply because the NEC 24WMGX3 is probably the best gaming monitor there is for a 24'' atm with all things considered e.g. viewing angles, quality, input lag etc.

How does the NEC compare to the Dell?
And what is its long term wear like? I would be looking for at least a couple of years to justify the cost.
Thanks

They haven't being around longer than a year yet but NEC warranty is unbeatable. SHould a problem arise you ring a uk number and ship a replacement for next day delivery and then collect your old one the following day.

And everybody who bought one recently on here have all had zero dead pixels.

Could you not use a VGA cable for the 360? It's an extra cost, but the image will be much more crisp, regardless of which monitor you use.

lol... Thats what I thought too... I can't imagine any high-end monitor to not have one of the most commonly used input.
