I've been anti lian li for a while and I'm starting to well, love them. I want to replace my sunbeam samurai with something a bit more classy. The problem is I dont know which 'li' to go for.
It must be pretty quiet
It must have a windowed sidepanel, (or be able to buy one I dont want to be hacking it to pieces)
It must be black or silver
It must be cool as in temps

Any suggestions?
I would like a different layout, I think it is with the power supply at the bottom but I dont know if all my atx stuff will fit in?

is it like the upside down layout or not?

PC7+ is Lian Li's excellent take on the standard case.

v1000+, 201a / 101a all have upside down layouts, and most of them you can get a window for.

The biggest thing you forgot though, whats your budget?

Everyone seems to have a gaming case phase, but once you go to the high build quality you just wont be able to go back, period. :D

hehe it was my 1st pc built to my spec even tho I didn't build it, I've done repairs on it and I think I'm confident enough to dissasemble it and put it in a new case. how does my power supply fit in if the case is upside down, does the psu fan blow out where the 'power button' is

Can you get me pics?

My budget is around 100 pounds for case and side panel

the lian li pc-7+ then it is and you can get it with side window for under 100 quid. the power supply is at the top back of the case, the power button is about half way up the front of the case on the right beside the 3.25"s. it is a great case pretty quiet with the stock fans...but you can always replace them with fans of your choice

The PC7+II may come with either the old badge or the newer silver one, depends what OcUK have in at the time.

Its really the only option Lian Li wise at the moment for the money, although some newer cases are coming out soon but I highly doubt they will beat the PC7+, to say it is a step up from your Samurai is a insult to the PC7+II. ;)

You need a lot more money if you want an inverted Lian Li + window though, as the window panels are never cheap for the cases.

what is the options for inverted li with side panels? I like the look of the circled mesh ones how much will it set me back?
can you post pics of PC7s please what is the difference between pc7 and pc 7 plus

The circled mesh ones are the Lian Li v1000+ and v2000. The v1000+ is £129.19 + £44.00 for the sidepanel. The v2000 is £162.15 and £55.00 for the sidepanel. These prices will vary obviously depending on where you get them from, but it gives you a guide.

One of the better pictures but it still looks a lot better than that! :p

PC7 = 80mm fans
PC7+I = 120mm front, 80mm rear
PC7+II = 120mm front, 120mm rear

The latter two can share the same box, so you get a guaranteed +I but I have not heard of anyone getting anything other than a +II or PC007 from OcUK in the last year.
